We’re back after a long lockdown

It’s been so long but we’re back and happy to start planning our lives again. If you couldn’t tell from our past posts that the last 1.5 years has been an intense rollercoaster, not unlike so many other people in the world. We’ve been in our homes, working on ourselves while we wait for the world to return to normal. Living in the Netherlands became a complicated experience as coronavirus moved in just 3 months after we moved here. Since then we’ve been working on staying happy, healthy, employed, and optimistic while the world heals from this intense experience. Here is a few things that we’ve been up to since lockdown started:

Shibari

Shibari is a form of binding or tying designed to be both beautiful and erotic. While many people use shibari to explore their BDSM inclinations, the aesthetic of shiabri is equally to the experience; the more beautiful knots, the more intense the enjoyment. I fell in love with idea of shibari after seeing a random documentary on YouTube (which I cannot seem to find!). In this documentary, it showed a shibari studio in Japan that is popular among Japanese businesswomen. The women they interviewed talked about the intense release they feel as they allow the kinbaku master to take control, slowly tying them in intricate knots, often for hours. They described this release as emotional and sexual, relieving their stress and offering them mental clarity. I started learning a few basic knots, graduating to more complicated one each day and it has been a really fun experience. I plan to write more articles after a few more sessions!

Dungeons & Dragons

Of all my favorite hobbies that disappeared during lockdown, not playing D&D has been the hardest. Without a regular crew, we started exploring different aspects of the hobby. I started making these tiny worlds for our minis that represent their backstories and the lives they come from. In addition to the Wizard’s Lair, I’ve also made a tiny forest, a monk’s temple, and a city with bridges. You can see pics on our Instagram. If your interested in having one made, feel free to message us any time! I’m always looking for inspiration so send ideas anytime!!

Searching for Swingers

It’s no surprise that lockdown has been complete nightmare for anyone that loves the lifestyle and the comeback from Corona has been no better. Lifestyle clubs across Europe have been closed for endless months now and no one is sure when they’ll open again. We’ve tried a few web cam parties but there’s nothing like the real thing. Now that vaccination numbers are growing, we’re hoping to hop into a club before the end of the year.

When we started TwoMixers and moved to Europe, we planned to travel everywhere and try everything! It has been a crazy year over trying new hobbies and adapting our need for excitement while we wait for the world to return to normal. Things are changing slowly but surely. We’re looking forward to having something exciting to share soon!
