After taking a day off for an epic D&D night with the crew, we woke up today and got right back to it. Due to a mix up with the storage company, we had to put off going to storage over the weekend. Now that all of that’s cleared, we were able to move some important things over and size up the space. It looks like we will probably be able to fit the motorcycle in there! That’s definitely exciting news because we have been worried about what to do with it while we’re gone.
I’d love to have it shipped over. Hell, I’d have it shipped in the cargo of the plane with us if we could; but its not running smoothly currently so its better to leave her here for the time being. Hopefully she stays safe. As far as the rest of the stuff we have to store, we were surprised to see that we won’t have to get rid of as much stuff as we will.
It doesn’t feel great knowing we’ll have to pay for storage six months to a year at a time; but those are the sacrifices we make. It’ll all be worth it when we finally settle into our new home in Amsterdam. We’ve been bagging small knickknacks and stuff here and there that we’d like to have brought over at a later time. We’ll put tape on the handles with numbers in order of their priority. Victoria’s having a lot more trouble getting rid of things than I am naturally haha. I guess that’s the territory of having a beautiful wife with really cool shit.
Due to errands, the day was cut short for the most part. I didn’t get to study Dutch the one to two hours daily that I intend. That needs to become a higher priority for me. The Dutch will be impressed and take us a lot more serious if we show them that we truly care about their culture. I did get back on the work out grind; which is the four mile walk/run we started in late June. I lost about 18 lbs. and fell off for two weeks. I’m pretty sure I gained like 6 lbs. back but it feels good to get back to it.
Tomorrow, we should finish up the shed and storage. I pulled in my winter clothes so I’ll narrow down my selection. Hoping to hear from our readers and answer any questions you may have. Drop us a line!
